London Fashion Week September 2016

16th to the 20th of September 2016. I recently attended my fifth London Fashion Week for which I was extremely grateful. I remember the first time I attended back as a wee lass; spent about 5 hours trying to pick out a head-turning outfit with the aim of getting papped by eager fashion bloggers and was very upset when it started to rain heavily (this has since become the norm.) It was pretty much a blur. When I arrived, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people, colour, camera, luxury and glamour...it was crazy. Dashing from show to show, we had just enough time to grab a complimentary bottle of coconut water nibble on some free popcorn and charge our devices by several per cent, determined that they would last us an entire day's worth of snapping photos, sending e-mails and milking Google Maps for all it was worth. These days, Fashion Week doesn't seem as crazy, or maybe I have just grown accustomed to the busiest time period in the fashion industry. Either way, it's a great experience and really gives you a great insight. This year I particularly liked all the shows an exhibitions I went to and for once it didn't rain! The press rooms used to be located at Somerset House but this year the base was Brewer Street in Soho.

There were a few other shows and exhibitions that I went to but I was unable to use my camera. 'Til next time...
