Saying Farewell to 2015 in Edinburgh

I'm very lucky to have family that live in Scotland. Why? Because Scotland is SUCH a beautiful place and Edinburgh in particular is a city very close to my heart. I have visited many times but I often tend to go at New Year for the Hogmanay celebrations. Edinburgh becomes absolutely packed with tourists and locals at this time; the pubs are full, people are dancing out and about during the street festival and the fireworks at midnight are particularly impressive. It's a hilly, historical city - the old, cobbled streets are gorgeous and it's no wonder the Queen herself owns a palace at the foot of Arthur's Seat, one of the four hill forts that loom over Scotland's capital. Visiting Edinburgh? You're in for a treat.
